Survey Summary of Music Miracles Concert

By Anne Tang

The Music Miracles Concert survey collected 18 responses, providing detailed insights into the attendees' experiences and preferences. Below is a comprehensive summary of the findings:

  1. Overall Concert Experience:
    • Excellent: 14 respondents (83%)
    • Good: 3 respondents (22%)
    • Both Excellent and Good: 1 respondent
    • Fairly: 0 respondent
    • Poorly: 0 respondent

We all did decent for them to select a lot of “excellent.” One thing they probably didn’t like was the voice level and probably the performers’ background information. We should make this part shorter instead of a long introduction.

  2. Likelihood of Attending Another Concert:
    • Very Likely: 15 respondents (83%)
    • Likely: 3 respondents (17%)
    • Unlikely: 0 respondent
    • Very Unlikely: 0 respondent

The majority of people selected very likely because they enjoyed the performances and will surely come back next time. The people that selected likely was maybe because they either didn’t have time, or didn’t like it as much as other performances. We can make it better by practicing more for our parts.

  3. Favorite Types of Performances (Top 3 Choices per Respondent):
    • Modern Style Dance: Selected by 11 respondents
    • Chinese Dance: Selected by 14 respondents
    • Chinese Group Dance: Selected by 16 respondents
    • Classic Piano: Selected by 16 respondents
    • Pop Piano: Selected by 11 respondents
    • Violin: Selected by 12 respondents

Overall, most people liked the Chinese group dance and the Classic piano. The also liked the other Piano pieces, Violin, Solo Chinese dance and Modern style as well. We can make all of them more even by performing good and practicing so it can be good as the other high ratings.

  4. Most Enjoyed Aspects of the Concert (Multiple Selections Allowed):
    • Variety: 18 respondents (100%)
    • Quality: 17 respondents (94%)
    • Length: 12 respondents (67%)
    • Atmosphere: 12 respondents (67%)

Many people in the audience selected Variety because we had different kinds of performances not just one kind. The people that selected Quality, Length and Atmosphere were a lot too.

  5. Performances Not Enjoyed:
    • None: Majority of respondents indicated that they enjoyed all performances.
    • Comments:
      • "None, everything was great. Thank you!"
      • "The only thing was when they talk to present, I couldn't hear most of the time."

Next time, the presenters that are speaking will have to speak louder, not just grab paper and read off. The voice level should be able to be heard from far away. It will help the audience enjoy it more.

  6. Suggestions for Improvement and Additional Comments:
    • Return for Future Performances:
      • "Come back soon. My friends and I love this type of performance. It is nice to see kids enjoying the music arts."
      • "Everything was great."
      • "Everything was perfect, please come back."
    • Audibility Improvements:
      • "The only thing is when the presentations are happening, you need someone that feels comfortable with the microphone, most of the time we couldn't hear the little kids speaking."
      • "Sometimes we couldn't hear the people speaking."
    • Performance Requests:
      • "More class piano and dance."
    • General Praise:
      • "Love the whole performance especially the little kids."
      • "Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Great job!"
      • "Talent"
      • "How much fun the kids had."
      • "All the kids great talent."

Summarizing the comments, it was mostly “come back, we really want to hear from these talented kids again.” But also, it included comments like “the little kids speaking up there weren’t loud enough, we couldn’t hear them as well as other ones.” We should definitely improve on this speaking as said before. I hope the performances will just get better and better than before.
